I've had this laptop for about 3 or 4 years as a Christmas present; Probably should get around to getting a new one, but currently that's not gonna happen until the school year ends.
Around September the laptop stopped charging correctly until the I was forced to have the laptop plugged in at all times and if it came loose, the whole system would shut down. I've checked through various different sources before I actually just put the system down for good and get a new one. I've tried checking if it was the AC adapter itself, strangely it did the same on my current laptop and an old one. The charging symbol would just blink red but it was still powering the laptop, but not charging it. I tried checking if it was the drivers since recently I did a whole system restore with reinstalling windows 7, but no change.
Now I'm questioning if it's just the battery is full on dead along with the charger being burnt out. Could the problem be different than what I've found or should I get a new laptop altogether since buying both a new battery and AC adapter would be a waste when I can just get a new one with Windows 10.
