My laptop, model Inspiron n5030 will no longer turn on after cutting the power while I was using the BIOS. To test a HDD,
I had opened the laptop up and changed the hard drive. The drive seemed non-functional, so I booted in the BIOS. I changed some settings and pulled out the power plug to restart the laptop. When I put the plug back in, the laptop would not start anymore. There is no fan noise, no backlight and no indicator lights at the bottom of the laptop to show that it is powered. The light on the block of the power cable is on though.
I tried all power configurations: with battery and cable, just cable, just battery. I tried taking out and plugging back in the keyboard to see if the power button was maybe not connecting. I tried putting all screws back in.
