I ran an audit on our company's laptops recently and discovered 2 of them (Latitude E4310s) had the same service tag. I got in touch with Dell and they said this is likely to have happened when a motherboard was replaced by one of their technicians and the incorrect service tag was entered.
I've tried every method I can find online, no matter how old, of resetting the tags I can find (Dell Command Configure, cctk.exe, asset.com, svctag.exe etc.) to no avail.
As such, does anyone know of a way to change the service tag on a Dell Latitude E4310 without getting involved with Dell out of warranty support?
